AFI FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE
BLUEPRINT
Version 1.0

MISSION

AFI Football Intelligence combines football statistics, market data,
weather, injuries, coaching, travel, historical trends, and AI analysis
to produce transparent game intelligence and opportunity scores.

AFI should explain WHY a prediction is made, not simply provide a pick.

CORE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS

1. Every external API call must be logged.

2. Every import must report:
   - records received
   - records inserted
   - records updated
   - records skipped
   - execution time

3. No silent failures.

4. Every system error must be logged.

5. Intelligence logic must remain separate from page presentation.

6. External data providers must be replaceable without rewriting AFI.

7. Major systems should eventually have administrator monitoring tools.

8. AFI should be modular and designed for future expansion.

9. Every prediction should include an explanation.

10. Historical results should be used to evaluate and improve AFI.

CORE INTELLIGENCE AREAS

- Quarterback
- Offense
- Defense
- Coaching
- Injuries
- Weather
- Environment
- Travel
- Rest
- Momentum
- Historical Trends
- Point Spread
- Moneyline
- Over/Under
- Line Movement
- Public Betting
- Market Intelligence
- AI Analysis

WEATHER AND ENVIRONMENT

Weather is a first-class intelligence factor.

Possible inputs include:

- temperature
- wind speed
- wind gusts
- rain
- snow
- humidity
- altitude
- indoor/outdoor stadium
- field surface
- team familiarity with conditions

Weather must be evaluated relative to the teams involved.

Example:

Miami playing at Denver in snow and cold conditions may create a
significant Denver environmental advantage.

POINT SPREAD INTELLIGENCE

AFI should eventually store and compare:

- opening spread
- current spread
- closing spread
- AFI projected margin
- AFI projected spread
- spread movement
- AFI edge versus spread
- cover prediction

Point spread analysis should remain separate from the raw winner
prediction.

AFTER-GAME REVIEW

Every completed prediction should eventually be reviewed after the game.

AFI should compare:

- predicted winner
- actual winner
- predicted score
- actual score
- predicted margin
- actual margin
- predicted spread result
- actual spread result
- predicted total
- actual total
- confidence score

Each intelligence factor should also be evaluated where practical.

Example:

Weather: Correct
Defense: Correct
Travel: Correct
Vegas: Incorrect
Coaching: Correct

Over time AFI should measure how predictive each factor actually is.

This historical performance can eventually influence future factor
weights.

LOGGING

Root logging directory:

/logs

Subdirectories:

/logs/api
/logs/errors
/logs/imports
/logs/predictions
/logs/system

Every external data action must be traceable.

LONG-TERM GOAL

AFI should become a transparent Football Intelligence Platform rather
than a simple betting-pick website.

Future sports expansion should be possible without rebuilding the core
intelligence architecture.
